SEE YOUR ENEMY AS CHRIST DOES

1Matthew 5:44-45 – “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes 2his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”
It is always unreasonable to love your enemy unless you realize that you were once an enemy of God until He forgave you. When you love your enemy, you see your enemy as Christ does. When you see your enemy as Christ does, you would be ready to forgive them because you are still conscious that you have been forgiven of even more grievous and consequential sin. Being unwilling to forgive shows that you have not understood or benefited from God’s forgiveness. You need to forgive because you need to be forgiven. An unforgiving attitude not only ruins your relationships with others and with God but also poisons your soul. If you cannot love and forgive, you cannot be entrusted with the power of God because you would use it to hurt yourself and others.
Your actual enemy is sin, not flesh and blood, not your brother, mother, father, sister or relations. You have to recognize your enemy as the ugly, hateful spirit that it is and take authority over it. You have the power in the name of Jesus Christ at your command. So take your place in the believer’s authority and start to make a difference in your world. We do not do things to be appreciated by men but because we love and want to obey God
